I will share a super easy and tasty way to make delicious chicken drumsticks at home with minimal ingredients.

It’s a Chinese-style crispy chicken leg with potatoes recipe.

 I used leftover Mashed potatoes. I served this dish with unique burger sauce.

You can drizzle some BBQ sauce, homemade chili-garlic ketchup, or simply enjoy with ketchup.

It’s a super easy, delicious, and budget-friendly recipe. Its major ingredients are dried red chili, garlic, salt, and sugar.

You can make a QUICK BURGER SAUCE  from this ketchup that tastes divine with all fried items.

Ready for making crispy fried chicken legs with potatoes? I always boil chicken in some spices and yogurt.

Yogurt and garlic help to remove the chicken smell and makes it soft, tender, and juicy.

So add a little yogurt when you boil chicken legs or boneless chicken.

Use this boiling method to prepare all types of chicken filings that call for boiled chicken.

It’s very easy to make homemade breadcrumbs

that are better than store-bought.

7 chicken drumsticks

For boiling chicken

Garlic cloves 3

Ginger 1/2 inch piece.

Salt 1 teaspoon

Crushed Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon.

Water 2 cups

Yogurt 2 tablespoons.

Mashed Potatoes 1 and 1/2 cup.

Cheese shredded 2 cups.

For the coating

All-purpose flour 1 and 1/2 cup

Baking powder 1 teaspoon.

Bread crumbs 2 cups

Eggs 3


1 Add the garlic, water, salt, and black pepper to the pan, cover with a lid, and let it cook for 30 minutes on low flame or until the chicken gets tender.

2 Discard the drumsticks from the pan. Cool at room temperature.

Remove the bones from the meat carefully and shred with a fork.

Marinate bones with 1 teaspoon soy sauce,1 teaspoon vinegar,1/4 teaspoon black pepper.

3 Mix shredded chicken, cheese, salt, black pepper, and the leftover mashed potatoes.

4 Divide the cheesy chicken mixture into 6 even portions.

Make a ball and place it on the leg bone. Bind well and make it like a drumstick. Roll into flour. 

Repeat this method with the rest of the drumsticks. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Dip into the egg mixture and then roll into homemade bread crumbs.

6. Heat cooking oil in a large pot and fry the drumsticks until golden brown.


How to make oven fried chicken drumsticks?

It’s so simple.

Just take a step no 4 coated chicken drumsticks, dip into egg whites, and roll in bread crumbs.

The addition of egg white with bread crumbs would make them extra crunchy.

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

 Place coated drumsticks on it.

Bake for 35-40 minutes @350C

The temperature can vary and depends on your oven.
